About Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, was founded in 1900 and it is one of the 10 largest museums in the United States. The museum is located in the heart of the Houston Museum District and it consists of two gallery buildings, a sculpture garden, a cinema room, two art schools, and two libraries for the entire family to enjoy! There are two museum houses nearby, one dedicated to the American decorative arts and another to the European ones. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston’s encyclopedic collection consists of 70,000 works and spans from ancient art to the present.
