The Nutcracker at The Bayou Theater is a classic holiday tradition filled with toy soldiers, dancing snowflakes, and the magical Land of Sweets.

In this twist on the classic poem, “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” the dinosaur fossils in the museum come alive on Christmas Eve.

They celebrate the season by singing, dancing, and eating gingerbread!

This family-friendly show is an excellent option for this winter holiday!

The gang’s all here in this familiar-feeling musical comedy-Linus and his blanket, Schroeder and his piano, Lucy and her psychiatrist stand, Sally and her philosophies, Snoopy and his doghouse, and Charlie Brown and his love for the Little Red-headed Girl, of course!

Have a magical holiday season at the Lone Star Flight Museum with Santa!

Activities include Stearman Santa with VIP Member Line, Breakfast with Santa, and See St. Nick taxi on the ramp, followed by photos, crafts, and more!

This December, gather the family together and enjoy a Storytime with Santa, Presented by Texas Children’s Hospital!

During each show, Santa will spend 30-40 minutes reading stories to children outside by the 51ft Christmas tree, with a picture opportunity offered afterward. A small gift from Texas Children’s Hospital is also included, as is hot chocolate served by Gelato & Co!

Families will be entertained and in awe of the Houston Boychoir during their fantastic performance.

Houston Boychoir was established nearly 60 years ago and has been a staple in the arts community. 

This night is designed for guests with sensory sensitivities and their families.

During this Zoo Lights night, guests can expect a smaller crowd, quieter music, limited flashing lights, and designated quiet areas.

During Nutcracker Boogie, Tchaikovsky’s holiday classic is the backdrop for fun movement activities including freeze dance, moving expressively with scarves, and marching with rhythm instruments!

Families will get to discover an immersive Christmas experience at the beautiful Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens.

You will find a dazzling bridge that brings you into a winter wonderland featuring thousands of lights throughout the 14-acre estate.

Children can mingle the morning away delighting in professional personal photos with Santa Claus, interactive moments with Frosty the Snowman character, the sound of excited children’s voices, live music, and entertainment!

During Holiday Parachute Fun, children will learn teamwork, cooperation, and rhythm through parachute activities that focus on holiday songs and themes of jingly bells, marching wooden soldiers, and a cotton ball blizzard!

Kids will get to enjoy special family time decorating individual gingerbread houses while visiting with Mrs. Claus, delighting in Christmas story time, and creating lacing gingerbread men.

Llama Llama wonders if Christmas will ever arrive while he and Mama Llama rush around getting ready for the holidays.

Overwhelmed by all the hustle and bustle, his meltdown is met with his understanding mama’s hugs and love.

This story is based on the classic Hanukkah song and highlights the family celebrations and traditions of the holiday.

During The Health Museum’s Discovery Camps, kids will be engaged in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) activities while learning about medical science and the human body.

There will be health-themed interactive experiences to explore all that The Health Museum has to offer.

Space Center Houston offers a variety of age-appropriate, safe, and inspiring camp experiences.

The Explorer Camps introduce children ages 4-11 to science, technology, engineering, and math through engaging and hands-on learning activities.

Kids will not want to miss this very special day!

The Woodlands Children’s Museum will have the visit of Anna and Elsa and a Holiday bingo!

Children ages 5-10 years old will be engaged and entertained by these science and nature-themed camps, featuring hands-on activities, games, art projects, new friends, and more.

Weather permitting, campers will spend the majority of their time outdoors.
