The Galveston Railroad Museum features forty pieces of rolling stock, the largest collection of dining car china in the Southwest, and two amazing model railroad layouts. Take a ride on the Harborside Express, which is an open-air caboose that travels one mile up Harborside Dr., then return to the museum. The train rides approximately 15 minutes long, and it’s a standing ride without seats. The Galveston Railroad Museum is dedicated to the restoration, observation, and re-use of its historic facilities and equipment for the development of educational and interactive programs. This is one of the many cool railroad museums in Texas!
